I'd need a new print head, meaning a new printer - after 1 or two of the "generic" equivalents. Don't know the real problem but would get gaps that repeated cleanings would not get rid of.
Cheap as the printer is (Stylus 88+) using the EPSON carts is cheaper and most of the output is better - although for 90% of my printing "quality" not an issue.
Seems Epson just about gives away the printer to sell the ink.
I don't know what they do to make the generic cartridges cause problems but I've given up fighting it.
