(More customer reviews)I've ordered remanufactured ink cartridges in the past and had cartridges refilled locally. This product is an excellent value for the cost. Not only are the extra capacity cartridges (XL), but a second black cartridge is included. I usually save color ink, but only printing in black only, so this was a plus for this deal.
The cartridges came professionally packed in a sealed plastic envelope in a separate box. The ink cartridge opening was professionally sealed with a plastic cap, much like HP seals their cartridges. The hole in the top was sealed with a piece of tape, with instructions to remove.
A couple noteworthy items or suggestions: I've found most ink cartridges come from different altitudes and often have higher pressure then your locale, and when you remove the seal, they leak ink - sometimes up to a half-teaspoon or more. Unseal them over a newspaper or trash can, and have tissue nearby to clean them up. The manufacturer did not include any instructions - something other remanufactured cartridge companies always include, not only how to unseal and install, but how to address the printer's non-recognition of the reman cartridges (there is a computer chip that HP installs to signal if the cartridge has been reloaded and to read ink levels). A pair of latex gloves is a must and for the cost, would be handy to include in the package.
So far they seem to be working fine, but my printer function of "clean print heads" and "test page" give a totally incomplete result. Not sure if this is a printer malfunction or a function of the printer not recognizing the reman cartridges.
