The item I received was not in a Verbatim box, but in a generic unbranded box, and I was disappointed to think that I had paid too much for an off-brand re-manufactured cartridge. I had no option but to install the cartridge anyway because I had to replace my old one. To my surprise, not only does this unbranded cartridge print very well, but it also includes the same chip as the OEM cartridge. This toner cartridge reports the cartridge status and usage just as an original HP cartridge, which is a feature most re-manufactured cartridges don't include. In summary, although it is not a Verbatim product as advertised, the cartridge that was provided appears to be of very high quality and is truly OEM compatible.
