(More customer reviews)First of all, the photo accompanying the product info on Amazon is not accurate. It shows a cartridge of Okidata design, not the new design of these LD toner cartridges. These new cartridges are gray in color and have a rounded top, not squared off as shown.
A year ago I purchased a black toner cartridge from LD for my Okidata c5500n printer. It worked just fine. In fact I gave it a 5 star review. It was a remanufactured Oki cartridge.
LD has now begun selling toner cartridges of a new design. In my c5500n printer, they do not work and generate the 231:Fatal Error 03.
The first cyan toner cartridge I ordered was defective since it caused the Fatar Error. LD replaced with another. I just installed the replacement and it immediately caused the printer to generate the error. So that is 2 defective cartridges in a row.
After doing some searching on the Internet, I ran across a pdf of a "Confidential" Okidata Service Manual. The "231: Fatal Error 03" is related to a failure of reading the RFID chip that is embedded in the toner cartridge.
I now have two cyan LD toner cartridges that don't work in my Okidata c5500n printer and am therefore giving LD 1 star. They get 1 star solely based on following through with their warranty and crediting my account upon return of the defective toner cartridges.
Buyer beware.
