(More customer reviews)I purchased Laser Tek toner as an experiment for filling my OKI C5200 printer cartridges. The first one I filled took 5 minutes and it worked great. The only thing missing on the instructions was any reference on emptying the burnt toner from the cartridge. I learned to do this from another web site. The next 3 cartridges I re-filled were a little harder because I couldn't remove the fill caps without damaging the cartridge, so I turned the cartridges upside down and filled them from the bottom. In order to do this I taped the whole opening closed and left only enough room to allow a paper funnel to be inserted. But before doing this I emptied the burnt toner - this is important or you'll eventually overflow burnt toner into you machine and make a mess.
I re-filled 3 cartridges in about 20 minutes, did it all on newspapers I laid out on a table, and when I was done, folded everything up and threw away the burnt toner that I emptied onto the newspapers. I did this procedure wearing a suit with a white shirt (and the gloves provided by Laser Tek) and got no toner on me whatsoever. I did use a vacuum to vacumm off the toner cartridges when I was done re-filing them to clean them up.
If I purchased a new high yield color OEM cartridge, my cost would be: $162.49, If I have a cartridge refilled by a local company, my cost is: $87.98, if I refill my own, my cost is: $22.74. I recommend to anyone wishing to cut their cartridge expense to at least test this product to see if it works for your machine.
