(More customer reviews)I replaced the "starter" toner cartridge in my p1006 that lasted almost a year. This cartridge is about 40% the price of a genuine HP one, and it installed without a hitch. On my PC a window popped up saying "Genuine HP cartridge installed".
After printing a couple test pages I can already tell that this will not be a great product. This cartridge is prints MUCH lighter than the HP one I had. With that, I could set it to "Econo mode" and have perfectly fine prints (crosswords usually). With this cartridge and the same settings it was about 50% lighter than the HP, and very uneven. Even in Full 600 (middle range) mode I could see lines of white where there should be solid black... This does not bode well. I'll see what the yield ends up being, but id guess much less than the original.
I would not buy this one again.
