(More customer reviews)I have a Dell 1230c color laser printer that I purchased about a year ago. This cartridge works just fine in it. I see no obvious difference in structure between this cartridge and the original Dell cartridge. The print is just as clear as the original. Time will tell whether using a refurbished cartridge will have any long-term affects on the printer, but so far everything is working just fine. Figuring in Amazon's free shipping option, I saved about $15 buying this cartridge rather than buying a Dell off their website.
UPDATE: I usually get about six months out of a toner cartridge. It's been three with lighter than average use, and I'm already getting the patchiness that signals the cartridge is getting low. After the first few weeks, the print quality was also not quite as good as I got with a Dell made cartridge. I don't know if I got a poorer than average cartridge or if this is representative, but I think I may go back to Dell for my next cartridge.
