(More customer reviews)At the time of this review, there is very little information on this product. I even called HP --amazingly the customer service rep had no knowledge of this combination at all! So, here's what I was looking for and could not find. Quantity: Cyan ~600 pages; Magenta ~550 pages; Yellow ~750 pages; Light Cyan ~330 photos; Light Magenta ~345 photos. Each cartridge (that is, each of the 5 colors) does have more than the standard cartridge does when bought individually or in the standard Combo Pack. Based on the price I paid, a very rough calculation concludes that with average use, I will save about a half cent per page if I purchase this Color Club Combo instead of the standard Combo-pack. I also save money purchasing this product rather than buying the current offering of individual XL sizes of Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow and the regular light cyan and light magenta. (Note, the lights are not yet offered individually in XL size)
Quick answer: Yes, this is a better buy, but not enormously better. Yes, I would buy it again both to save a little money and because I hate having to buy ink every few weeks. Hopefully I will also save a little time, as well. Yes, the cartridges are literally bigger, but fit my printer just fine and just as easily. Yes, HP really should include a black XL cartridge in this pack, but they don't. Yes, color inks are still far to pricey --in my opinion-- and are hard to justify the expense. And, finally, yes I use my black & white laser printer whenever possible. But photos and color pictures print beautifully with this ink in my photo printer.
I purchased through Amazon, but one of its partners provided the product (though not the partner that is listed today, I notice.) I received it quicker than promised and in good condition. Not many on-line or retail stores offer this product at this time, but this was definitely the best price I could find anywhere. (And, of course, yes it is over-packaged by HP.)
