(More customer reviews)I purchased my printer in February 2009 and I believe that I have had to replace the regular size black ink cartridge at least three times. I would say that my print load is average. This time (the third time) I decided to get the XL size. I put it in April 10th and now (May 10th) the ink level is at 3/4. I am sure that with the regular size catridge I would be getting ready to change the cartridge again. I also like that the price via amazon was significantly cheaper than purchasing from staples or target. And it arrived quickly. I recommend using the XL no matter what, so that you don't have to change so often. I also recommend this vendor based on my experience with them.
