The printer, and the cartridge(s) have performed flawlessly. I am totally amazed by the longevity both of the printer and cartridge. Canon PG-50 Black FINE Ink Cartridge-High Capacity Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the larger cartridges because I had read that they last so much longer. However, after having used a couple of the more expensive cartridges (which cost 50% more than the PG-40) I am convinced they do not last 50% longer than the regular cartridges. In fact I saw very little difference. After examining the boxes, I realize that the larger cartridge only holds 22ml versus 16ml for the regular (37.5% more). It doesn't even seem to last a third longer to me.
So I will purchase the regular cartridges from now on. Same print quality, but a better value.Texas user

(More customer reviews)We still haven't had an opportunity to try out the toner cartridges that came with this order, but the new drum went into the printer instantly. And it's been working perfectly. No, there's one caveat on that: the "drum" light on the printer periodically flickers, perhaps because the printer knows we haven't used a genuine Brother-brand drum. But a flickering light causes me no grief, and the clean, crisply printed pages coming out are a delight. If we hadn't found these affordable drums, I think it likely we would have trashed the printer. At the office supply store Brother replacement drums are something like $180. That's nearly what we paid for the (refurbished) printer in the first place. This is the second drum we've bought from these folks, and the first one -- like this one so far -- proved a terrific value.

There is no phone number, so all communication has to be done via email. It has now been almost a month and I have a useless cartridge and no response from the seller. Buyer BEWARE!

What we received was a used cartridge with a beaten-up body and toner smudges all over it, in a pretty box with wording to try to convince us that it was an OEM-quality product. Also, there was no packing slip, and nothing indicating the status of the other item that was supposed to be in the same shipment but was missing.
Fool us once, shame on us. But Vivamart will never have the chance to fool us again. The false advertising, poor quality, and lack of basic documentation have taken them off our approved supplier list.

The 105XL cartridge can be modified to work with the any printer that uses the 100 or 100XL.
The 100, 100XL and 105XL are all the SAME physical cartridge, just with different size ink fills.
The 105XL physically fits into the S605 with no modification. When installed, the printer says "unsupported ink cartridge." How does it know, seeing as it's just an ink well and not a print head? Under the label at the top is an RFID chip. All you have to do is swap the chip with an 100 or 100XL cartridge and the 105XL will work in your Lexmark printer. Happy printing!
