Thing one: Despite the claim that these cartridges would work for my Epson CX3800, the ones that arrived did not, actually, fit into my printer. To the seller's credit, he responded within twelve hours to an email I sent him - he sent me the "correct" cartridges the very next day.
Thing two: When the "correct" cartridges arrived, they did at least fit into the printer. Too bad they were so overfilled that the mere act of opening them for insertion into the printer caused all four that I tried to gush ink all over the place. I felt like an ER doctor trying to staunch the blood of a dying patient...especially with the magenta cartridge.
Thing three: After cleaning up everything (my hands were stained for a couple days, but nothing else was ruined) and seating the cartridges, I was unable to print anything. The printer software read all the cartridges as full, but test pages came out completely blank. I tried head cleanings, nozzles adjustments, and contemplated sacrificing a chicken in a pentagram, but nothing worked. All out of ideas, I let the printer sit overnight; maybe something would come to me in the morning.
Thing four: Come morning, I attacked the problem with vigor. I removed the cartridges, and they were all much lighter in weight than I remembered. Odd. And then I saw the pools of ink in the cartridge wells inside my printer. Now, I don't know how often you've tried to clean up several cubic centimeters of ink, but I'm here to tell you that it's both (A) more difficult and (B) less effective than herding cats. But at least it takes several hours and results in a giant mess, and possibly a voided printer warranty.
Thing five: I went down the street to a replacement ink store that I shall not name, but which my wife had pointed out to me was only a couple bucks more expensive than this product. Strangely enough, the cartridges I bought there all work amazingly well, the first time in, with no spillage problems.
Summary: These ink cartridges may not work at all, but at least I got the wrong ones and had to wait many days between placing my order and receiving the final non-working cartridges that leaked all over my room, got to spend several hours failing to figure out why, and possibly did serious harm to my printer. On the other hand, I got some unique temporary hand tattoos, and got to tell my wife that she was right all along and I was wrong, which is always good for a little nookie later on.
