(More customer reviews)This ink works great! I've just installed it in my Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II and printed out 19 4x6 photo prints. Color is just as good as the Canon cartridge this one replaced, at least to my amateur eyes. Had no problems with ink spills, just handled the cartridge carefully when installing. Which is what the Canon help file said to do anyway, even with their Canon cartridges. If I do experience any negative impact over time from this cartridge, I'll revisit my review, but for now, hakuna matata!

They're better, in fact, than the a960 all-in-one printer they run on. The printer's feeder, and its fax capabilities died before the cartridge. But that's another story.

(More customer reviews)OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is the ONLY way to go when it comes to ink jet cartridges. I tried the cheap non-brand cartridges. I tried the re-loaded cartridges. I tried reloading my old cartidges. Nothing but trouble. As far as off-brand cartidges, the ones I bought must have had problems with the "electronics". That is the printed circuits on the cart totally messed up my HP printer.
So the important part of the purchase of HP OEM ink carts is simply price and service. This provider provided 5-star service and a price that would embarass Costco.

In this down economy, there is a need to keep stuff (like old printers) operational instead of trashing them. If the only thing you need is a ribbon, then finding them saves money. My only fear is that, since no one elde had them in stock, when your supply is gone, you won't either.

(More customer reviews)Just got it today and tried it right away. Delivered fast. Package- could be better, at least could be packed in a box. Used it for CL31 and PG30 (smaller ones) which was basically enough for ~12 letter size sheets high quality color printing (full coverage, so its not that bad). Filling is pretty simple, quality is ok. The only PIA is that I had to hit 'clean' button at least one time per those 12 pages, because the print heads do get clogged, and some color would just disappear. But since i am familiar with printing - figured it out pretty fast (common problem for refills). Don't forget to run cleaning after you refilled the cartridges and get the nozzle test printed.
Anyways, its worth the price and gonna last pretty long time. But manufacturer gotta work on package and in general presenting the product, it didn't look very professional ;) besides, it would be nice to see it "eligible for free shipping"
Rather then that, I am pretty happy with the purchase, 'cause its does save the money.

(More customer reviews)I've been using this cartridge for the past few months with my HP F4280 printer, and have been less than thrilled with the results. Printed text and images were blurred, with some missed or faded lines, and ink streaks were often produced on text pages. I tried re-aligning the cartridge and cleaned the print heads extensively, both with the printer's own clean function and finally using a q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol (!), but after a few more pages the problems returned.
Maybe some or even most of these "recycled" cartridges work, but it's probably not worth the risk- I should have shelled out the extra [...] for a real HP 60XL cartridge.

(More customer reviews)OK, so far I have only done one refill still working fine after a month. I used the drill that came with it, but in my opinion it is to small as the needle will plug the hole causing seepage out the other end. I ended up using my own drill bit with cordless drill. WARNING work on paper bags with some paper towels and toss-able gloves probably outside in case you spill. I washed out the syringes right away with cold water and they will be reusable. I did goof and left the bottles on my desk for a week, while I was making room for them in a drawer I knocked over the cyan bottle..what a mess. Luckily I work in the basement as I do video and sound so only I am ticked at my clumsiness. Since they are water based I managed to clean up 95% of the mess, but my hands turned red for a week. Anyway if you are careful this is a much cheaper way to refill and it does work. My printer does not allow resetting of fill level easily so I always get a low ink message...but ehh its fine by me. Oh it look on my canon ip2600 that I should be able to refill at least 5 times with the amount in the bottle. Last I looked buying the ink from store was around $35 for all cartridges (bought printer for $28 lol). The refill definitely makes it worth the effort and if my machine breaks well I'll just buy another cheap canon.

HP 38 Photo Black Pigment Ink Cartridge Review

(More customer reviews)As inks go, this appears to be very good stuff. In fact, they say it's guaranteed to last 200+ years, although I'm not sure who around me will go ask for a free cartridge if my documents or photos only last 150 years. More to the point, it DOES look great.
On the other hand, these cartridges are around 30 bucks a piece and I need 8, so it rather irks me that the cartridges are so small. Perhaps that's a comment more appropriate for a review of the printer design, but it's worth noting here.
Also worth noting is that you SHOULD NOT immediately replace the ink cartridge in your HP B9180 when you get a message from it saying that this or that cartridge is about to run out. I say this because, when mine said that, I checked the little meter that tells you how much is left and it said 40% of the cartridge still had ink in it. 40%! To me, 40% is not "about to run out," but I did go ahead and buy an ink cartridge -- I just held onto it until it really became obvious that it was no longer printing that color. Only then did I replace the cartridge, because doing otherwise is needlessly wasting money.
I'm not quite cynical enough to say that HP WANTS you to replace (and recycle) the ink cartridges prematurely, but it obviously would make them more money if you do. Just keep your eyes open and you'll be fine.
