(More customer reviews)Our HP printer uses a document black cartridge and four color cartridges of which this is one. The results from the printer are completely satisfactory and the design permits the replacement of colors individually, which is a nice feature.
The printer tells us when to replace the specific cartridge which is getting low on ink and provides easy access to the cartridge for replacement. One of the really good things about the HP ink is its lack of odor.
My wife is very sensitive to smells and the one time I dared to try a refill cartridge the ink had an odor that filled the room. It was a long time before I stopped hearing about that mistake.
Since then I have only used the HP replacement cartridges and there has been no repeat of the odor problem. Ink is expensive, but when one considers the trouble we used to have even getting a black and white copy made it doesn't seem so bad. Being able to print both black and white copies and photo quality color copies at home is a real privilege.
