I was simply poking around with my new printer, and wanted to remove the ink carts to look at the print head system. What I did not know at the time is that once an Epson Ink Cart is installed, it cannot be removed until it is empty. If it is removed before this, it cannot be used again, whether or not it there is ink remaining. It's a one-time-good deal. So don't waste 45 dollars worth of ink and keep your hands off until you're computer tells you otherwise :-)
