(More customer reviews)I read all sorts of bad reviews for this product and other toner cartridges made by companies other than the maker of the printer. One said "It spilled all over the place!" No, but it does have a layer of toner on the roller. Careful not to touch it to anything when you put it in. Some say it stopped working too soon. Maybe, but there are three things to do to prolong the life, and use every drop of toner out of it.
When the toner light (or on-screen message) says the toner is low, take the cartridge out, and shake it side to side. There are two little lenses, one on each end, that the printer "reads" to find out if it's low. A tiny square of electrical tape over those lenses takes care of that. Third, there's a little gear on one end that can be removed -- find a Youtube video for details. Taking off that gear and keeping the lenses taped will completely disable the printer's sensors, and it'll print until it completely runs dry. At most, you'll have about 20 faded pages at the end before it doesn't print anything anymore.
